Born into a military family, Kerry Crockett was fortunate to have experienced life in several places after her birth in Ft. Monmouth, N.J. Finally settling in Augusta, Georgia, Kerry graduated from the Medical College of Georgia with a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy (OT) in 1993. She spent many years in management in the field of OT before deciding on a career change that brought her to the US & Canadian Academy of Pathology (USCAP) in November of 2004. She currently serves as the Executive Director and Meeting Planner of the 10,000+ member medical association. In addition to her responsibilities with the USCAP, she is also the Executive Director and Meeting Planner for the Society for Pediatric Pathology, which the USCAP manages. She received her CMP designation in 2008, Master of Business Administration in 2011 and CAE designation in 2012.
She is an active member of ASAE, currently serving on the Innovation Advisory Team; an active member of PCMA, currently serving on the Medical Meetings Task Force and has served on the Membership Committee and Convene Task Force in the past. She is also a member of MPI. In 2008 she was invited to serve on the Vancouver Customer Advisory Board and remains on the board today.
She is married to William and has two beautiful little pups – Cricket and Arcie. She is a dedicated animal lover and has served on the Board of Directors for the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA) Humane Society. She is a budding photographer who enjoys traveling, gardening and reading.
